Have you ever longed to bring your dream musical theatre role to life? Here’s your chance! I Wish is a dazzling musical theatre variety concert designed to let you step into the spotlight and perform the roles you’ve always dreamed of —and even those you’ve never imagined auditioning for. We’re searching for passionate, talented individuals eager to turn their dreams into reality on stage.

This isn’t just an audition; it’s an invitation to dive deep into the songs and characters that have inspired you, in a dynamic, supportive environment filled with fellow dreamers. Join us for an extraordinary journey where your dreams take center stage.

Audition Requirements (all auditionees must be 18+):

Prepare:

• Singers: Select and submit two contrasting musical theatre songs representing your dream roles. Choose pieces that showcase your vocal talent and stage presence.
• Actors: Select a monologue (or duologue) from your dream musical theatre role.
• Dancers: Send us a video of you dancing. We will also look at your ability in the in-person dance call. 

Resume and Headshot: Submit an updated resume and a recent headshot.

Statement: Prepare a brief (under 1 minute) statement explaining why these songs and roles are your dream choices. Share their personal significance, how they’ve influenced your journey in musical theatre, and why performing them in I Wish would be a dream come true. You will present this statement as part of your audition.

Availability: Be ready to list any conflicts you have during the rehearsal period and performance dates.

Video Submission:

• Content: Record a video of your two contrasting songs. At the beginning of the video, introduce yourself and read your prepared statement.
• Format: Ensure your video is clear with excellent audio quality. Upload your video to a platform such as YouTube (unlisted) or Vimeo, and provide the link in your submission via GoogleForm.

Character Breakdown:

We seek a diverse cast of performers of all ages, ethnicities, and gender identities who can deliver powerful, emotive performances. Audition for the roles you’ve always dreamed of. This is your moment to shine in the role you’ve always wanted!

Rehearsal Schedule:

Rehearsals begin on 30th June and will typically be held on Sunday afternoons 1-5pm and Monday evenings 7.30-10.30 pm. There may be some additional Thursday evenings from 7.30-10.30 pm. A detailed schedule will be provided upon casting.
